The small green control modules, called frogs, are the heart of every frogblue system and form the basis of frogblue's Bluetooth®-based smart building solution. Our frogs switch, dim, measure, open doors or react to buttons, switches and window contacts.
Connected to the mains or battery-operated, they connect “virtual cables” to each other via the frogblue Bluetooth® mesh network, forward messages and thus increase their range. Data transmission between the frogs is exclusively encrypted (128-bit) and this in addition to Bluetooth®. Frogs are smart, full of innovative functions, easy to configure and do not require a central unit or control cabinet. With a power consumption of just 0.2 watts, they are also extremely energy conscious.
Installed in the deep flush-mounted box (recommended box depth: 63mm) behind every conventional switch/button, the distribution box, a weatherproof box outdoors or the roller shutter box, this multifunctional 2-channel relay switch with two potential-free Outputs and two inputs primarily control the shading, i.e. blinds, shutters, roller blinds, awnings or the pool cover without new cables. And you can do this from anywhere in the entire building.
Shading control can also be carried out fully automatically using user-defined time programs. The same applies in combination with the frogDisplay and the astro function it contains, with which you can start the day every day at sunrise by automatically opening the slats.
The frogblue relay modules are designed to control 1200 W per channel. In addition to the shading control, other consumers can also be switched with the frogRelay2-2-PF. These include, for example, the garage door or LED strips with a higher power consumption.
If you use the free input channels of other frogs included in the system, you can integrate external sensors, such as a wind monitor or a weather station. When there is a storm, the blinds move up automatically and cannot be lowered manually. Alternatively, they automatically shut down when the sun heats up the room or ramp up when frost occurs.
You could also use the frogRelay2-2-PF to smartly control the sockets in a socket circuit limited to 6 A.
The frogs can be controlled with the frogblue HomeApp via the smartphone or tablet (iOS and Android), the frogDisplay, the frogKey or simply via the conventional switch/button connected to a frog. We always recommend buttons, as the full range of functions can be used through individual and different tactile patterns, such as double or triple clicks, etc.

This device is a product of the frogblue system. Detailed specialist knowledge through frogblue training is required. The function of the device is software dependent. Commissioning and configuration is carried out using the frogblue app.
